🪩 Sottsass ALPI wood veneer, The iconic Memphis patterns of the 80s are coming back! ✨
📍 Sottsass ALPI wood veneer, which we see in Off-White’s Paris flagship store has been used as wall and furniture coverings in many residential and commercial spaces since 1985, with its bold and graphic patterns.
🧮 Ettore Sottsass, one of the pioneers of the Memphis movement, released a unique Sottsass ALPI collection in 1985 with ALPI, which created collections with many designers. The hypnotic wood grain patterns of this coating are gaining popularity again in 2024 as a timeless design element. ⭐️
💬 This pattern, which resembles a wallpaper print, is created by manipulating the natural pattern of the tree during the production process. Sottsass ALPI veneer is produced from Ayous wood from sustainably managed forests, using a wood processing technique that has been used for more than a century but in an industrial approach. 🏭
🪵1.5mm thick veneer, produced from compressed wood and thanks to its lightness and flexibility, it can be applied on many elements and materials such as tables, cabinets, headboards and wall coverings.
